Canon G5030 setup on Windows
- Remove packaging materials and protective tapes.
- Fill the ink tanks using the included bottles, following the color-coded guides.
- Connect the power cable and turn on the printer.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the necessary components.
- Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi or USB
- During setup, choose between Wi-Fi or USB connection.
- For Wi-Fi: use the WPS method or manual setup via the printer’s control panel.
- Ensure the printer and PC are on the same network. For USB: Plug in the cable
- Windows will detect and finalise the printer setup.
Canon G5030 setup on macOS
- Remove packaging and protective materials.
- Fill the ink tanks using the included ink bottles.
- Connect the power cable and turn the printer on.
- Download drivers from the bottom of the page
- Open the installer and follow the on-screen steps.
- Use the printer’s control panel to set up Wi-Fi.
- Choose WPS (if supported by your router) or manual network setup.
- Ensure your Mac and printer are connected to the same network
- Open System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Click the “+” button and select your Canon G5030 from the list.
- Confirm the setup by printing a test page.
Canon G5030 setup on iPhone & iPad
- Unbox the Canon G5030 and remove any packaging.
- Fill the ink tanks using the included ink bottles, ensuring correct placement.
- Connect the power cable and turn on the printer.
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Wi-Fi settings.
- Select WPS setup (if supported by your router) or manually input Wi-Fi details.
- Ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS device.
- Download the Canon Print app from the App Store.
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your printer.
- Select Add Printer.
- Choose your Canon G5030 from the available printers.
- Print a test page to ensure the setup is successful.
Canon G5030 setup on Android
- Unbox the Canon G5030 and remove any packaging materials.
- Fill the ink tanks using the included ink bottles, ensuring correct placement.
- Connect the power cable and turn on the printer.
- On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the Wi-Fi setup options.
- Choose WPS setup (if supported by your router) or manually enter your Wi-Fi credentials.
- Confirm the printer is connected to the same network as your Android device.
- Download the Canon Print app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your Canon G5030.
- Select Add Printer.
- Choose the Canon G5030 from the list of available devices.
- Print a test page to confirm the connection is successful.
Canon G5030 setup on Chromebook
- Unbox the Canon G5030 and remove all packaging materials.
- Fill the ink tanks using the supplied ink bottles.
- Plug in the power cable and turn on the printer.
- Use the printer’s control panel to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
- Choose WPS setup (if your router supports it) or manually select and enter your Wi-Fi credentials.
- Ensure the printer is connected to the same network as your Chromebook.
- On your Chromebook, go to Settings > Advanced > Printing > Printers..
- Your Canon G5030 should appear automatically—select it.
- If not, click Add manually and enter the IP address (find it in the printer’s network settings).
- Print a test page to ensure normal operation
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the power:
- Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
- Check the cartridges:
- Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. There should be enough ink and cartridges should be compatible with the model of the printer
- Check paper:
- If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. There should be no jams in the printer
- Check Wi-Fi connection:
- Ensure your printer and device are connected to the same network
- Make sure that the Wi-Fi connection is stable
- Reset the printer:
- Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
- Update printer drivers:
- If drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
