Overview
The Canon PIXMA E410 is an all-in-one inkjet printer designed for home use, offering print, scan, and copy functionalities. It’s known for its affordable ink cartridges, compact size, and Auto Power ON feature that automatically turns on the printer when a print command is sent via USB. The E410 also includes a Quiet Mode to reduce operational noise.

Unboxing & Initial Setup
Cleaning the Print Heads
- Open the printer driver setup window
- Click Cleaning on the Maintenance tab
- Execute Cleaning
Make sure that the printer is on
- Complete cleaning
The Nozzle Check dialog box opens after the confirmation message
- Check the results
To check whether the print quality has improved, click Print Check Pattern.
- To cancel the check process, click Cancel
Aligning the Printer Heads
- Make sure that the power is turned on
- Load of sheet of A4 or Letter sized plain paper in the rear tray
- Pull out the paper output tray and the output tray extension
- Hold down the Stop button until the Alarm lamp flashes four times, then release it immediately
- Scan the printer head alignment sheet to adjust the print head position
- Load the print head alignment sheet on the platen glass
- Close the document gently, then press the Black button or Colour button

Printing
- Check that power printer is on
- Load paper in printer
- Open printer driver’s setup screen
- Select frequently used settings
On the Quick Setup tab, use Commonly Used Settings to select from predefined print settings
When you select a print setting, the settings for Additional Features, Media Type, and Printer Paper Size automatically switch to the predefined values
- Select print quality
For Print Quality, select from High, Standard, or Draft.
- Click OK
Scanning
Using Auto Scan Function
- Make sure scanner and printer is turned on
- Place items on Platen
- Start IJ Scan Utility
- Click Auto
- To cancel the scan, click Cancel

Printing
- Check that printer power is turned on
- Load paper in printer
- Select printer
Select your model from the Printer list in the Print Dialogue
- Select the paper size
For Paper Size, select the paper size to be used.
You can also set the number of copies, the printing range, and the printing direction
- From the pop up menu, select Quality and Media
- Select media type
- Select print quality
For Print Quality, select High, Standard, or Draft, whichever matches the purpose.
- Click Print
Scanning
- Make sure scanner or printer is turned on
- Place items on platen
- Start IJ Scan Utility
- Click Auto
- To cancel the scan, click cancel
