Unboxing & Initial Setup

  1. Take the printer out of the box.
  2. Take out all the accessories and remove the packaging.
  3. Remove and discard the protective tape from outside and inside.
  4. Connect the power cord to turn the printer on.
  5. Install the toner cartridges.
  6. Load paper into the paper trays.

Canon G7050 setup on Windows

  1. Connect the Canon G7050 to your network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable. Ensure the printer is powered on.
  2. Download drivers from the bottom of the page
  3. Open the downloaded file and follow the installation wizard’s prompts to install the necessary software and drivers.
  4. During installation, choose the connection method (Wi-Fi or USB) and allow the software to detect the printer on your network or via USB.
  5. Once detected, the software will complete the installation. Click Finish to complete the process.
  6. Go to Devices and Printers in Windows Settings to set up preferences like default paper size and print quality.
  7. Print a test page to confirm successful installation and connection.

  • Check the power:
    • Check the printer plug and the wall outlet both are securely connected
  • Check the cartridges:
    • Make sure the ink cartridges are placed correctly. There should be enough ink and cartridges should be compatible with the model of the printer
  • Check paper:
    • If the papers are not arranged correctly, take out the paper tray and straighten them up. There should be no jams in the printer
  • Check WiFi connection:
    • Ensure your printer and device are connected to the same network
    • Make sure that the Wi-Fi connection is stable
  • Reset the printer:
    • Resetting the printer can resolve many issues
  • Update printer drivers:
    • If drivers are outdated, check for newer ones
